How Does Weekly Sharing Work?Step 1: Announcement When an eligible event is approved, GDM announces it for 7 days, sharing details like the incident type and cost, but no private info. Step 2: Pledge Collection Three days before the announcement, GDM charges the remaining pledge from the member who requested sharing. Step 3: Calculate Share After the announcement, GDM calculates each member's Sharing based on a ratio of the total contributions. Step 4: Cap on the Weekly Sharing Each member's Sharing is capped at 7.5% of their pledge. Step 5: Collect the Weekly Sharing GDM collects the calculated Sharing from all members. Step 6: Pay Vendors Pay Vendors: The collected funds are used to pay for repairs and services related to the eligible event. If you have any questions about your Mutuality Plan, the app has a great 24-hour customer service support. Good Driver Mutuality is a community for honest good drivers who hold the common belief of supporting each other during an Eligible Event, and at GDM, safety and mutual support are at the heart of what we do. We sincerely thank you for your contributions to our community.

Watch for Payment NotificationsIf your bank requires any action to approve the transaction, you will need to handle it through the GDM app. We'll keep you informed of any payment issues, so be sure to monitor our messages to avoid disruptions during the weekly sharing process.
-
Ensure Sufficient Funds in Your Payment MethodOnly active Mutuality Plans are included in the Weekly Sharing. Once the sharing period starts, your registered payment method will be automatically charged. Please make sure it has enough funds to cover the sharing amount. The transaction fees are lower with ACH than with a credit card. When we have weekly sharing, it will be a lower cost to have this paid by ACH than a credit card. The credit card fees are 3% and ACH payments are usually lower.
-
Failed Payments May Lead to Plan SuspensionOur system will retry the payment several times. However, if all attempts fail after the sharing period ends, your plan will be suspended. You will have 14 days to manually complete the payment. During this period, the system will continue trying to process the payment. If the amount remains unpaid after 14 days, your mutuality plan will be terminated, and all associated benefits will be canceled and cannot be reinstated.
